A little of my story

I’m Fan.

Massage and sound healing are a calling that has unfolded through my life, from learning massage from my mum as a child to finding my own way of caring for others.

Around 2010, an unexplained illness left me struggling to speak, read and write. Searching for answers through hospitals and temples in Taiwan began a journey that eventually brought me to Australia in late 2014.

Sound healing entered my life in 2016. During difficult times, it offered deep rest and helped me return to everyday life with a little more hope and strength. I gradually felt called to share that experience with others.

I became a sound massage practitioner in 2018, then spent around six years continuing to learn and practise with another teacher. Singing bowls, meditation, Reiki, crystal healing, chanting, retreats and workshop facilitation became part of everyday life. Along the way, naturally arising singing and the drum I birthed through Shamanic Womencraft became part of my work.

Throughout those years, I continued working in remedial massage at a Traditional Chinese Medicine clinic without interruption, and I still practise there today. This ongoing work keeps me connected to people’s experiences of pain, stress and recovery.

Eventually, I stepped back to absorb my learning and find my own style. Today, Healing Aurora Alchemist brings together bodywork, sound and energy healing, guided by that same calling: to care for the whole person and offer space to rest, reconnect and return to life with a little more strength, at your own pace.

Why Aurora?

The space
before the dawn.

An illustration of Aurora in a shimmering rose-coloured dress, beneath the northern lights in a forest.

Aurora is the goddess of dawn: that threshold between the darkest night and the first light. It is a time when things can still feel uncertain, yet something has already begun to change.

The name also carries a family connection. Long before I understood the mythology, my mother’s store in Taiwan had “Aurora” in its name. Choosing it for my work felt like carrying a little of her story with me while putting down my own roots in Australia.

“A safe space where you can reconnect with your inner self and allow healing to unfold from within.”
How I work

Listening comes first.

We begin with a conversation about how you feel and what you would like support with. Sometimes that means focused massage. Sometimes it means sound, less touch and more quiet. Your comfort and communication remain part of the work throughout.

My approach honours the connection between body, mind and spirit, while leaving room for each person to understand their experience in their own way.
